Thank you much!

The MDA Lock-Up is long past and since most of my donors chose to give an alternative way to the online page provided, I thought it'd be nice if I provided an update.

If I've counted correctly, you helped raise just over $400 in donations and pledges. This covers more than half of the cost for a child to go to camp this summer. I think that's great, and I appreciate everyone who made a donation toward my goal.

I'll leave the information below from my earlier post since evidence suggests there are some people who will still find this page over time. If you're looking for an organization that's worthy of your financial assistance, this is among them. Whatever recipient you choose, I think it's important that we just do choose, when we're able. Whether to the MDA or another worthy organization, the opportunities for helping others are available to us all.

Thanks again to you all!

As I wrote in yesterday's blog entry, I'm about to be locked up (next week) to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA has a really comprehensive setup on their website that will allow you to make your donationscreenshotthumb.jpg online. It's streamlined, secure and awfully convenient. If you'd rather not donate this way, please just contact me and let me know your preference so I can accept your donation in whatever way you find most convenient.

Your Support Means Help Today

Here are a few examples of what your help enables MDA to do:
  • $25 provides an annual flu shot for one person
  • $63 funds one minute of research
  • $100 funds a support group session
  • $200 covers a clinical diagnostic exam
  • $600 sends a child to MDA summer camp for a week
  • $2,000 goes toward purchase of a wheelchair, a set of leg braces or a communication device
You can click on the screenshot of the MDA donation page over there at the above, right, or click here to visit the page now.

Thank you, in advance, for any assistance you can provide.

SO. Now that it's been 6 months or so since I stopped designing jewelry - for anybody other than myself - I realize it's time to weed out this section of my website. But I still get enough interest from people wanting to see what I used to design, that I thought I'll start by moving some links here to the footer area. For now, anyway.
