From the archives: a little story about letting myself get sucked into doing something I didn't want to do

Melody in ADD, Books, Challenges, Humor, guilt

So often I wish I had the time to sit and just tell you about all the interesting things I'm seeing and doing and thinking about. Alas, there's way more "doing" than "telling" going on these days, and I think perhaps this is a good thing. Right?

In the earlier years of this blog, though, I allowed myself far more time for leisurely storytelling. And although I frankly don't know if those little rants were as amusing to my readers as a blogger would naturally hope them to be, I sure amused myself by writing them.

Today, for your reading pleasure, I'm going to point you to a long-past day from my archive and invite you to read something I wrote in November of '06.

In November of '06, it seems, I was struggling to focus, had vertigo and couldn't drive, was reading several books at once, was about to have a nice family visit, and decided to tell my blog readers about the night I ordered a book against my wishes. Hopefully you'll find my little story as entertaining to read as I clearly did when I wrote it. Original post here.
